Born and raised in California, Wakai double-majored in Theatre and Sociology at Loyola Marymount University.  Recent stage roles include Brick in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," Oscar Madison in "The Odd Couple," and Romeo in "Romeo & Juliet."   You may have seen him as a guest star on the television shows "Family Law," "What Should You Do," and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

 Wakai means "youth" in Japanese (his mother studied different languages in college).  However, his mom is English, German, and Scottish and his father is of Mexican descent.  Wakai has landed a lead role in the feature film "The Final Minute."  It's a suspense / thriller about a guy who can see into the future and will be produced by BladeWalker Films in Oklahoma City.
